Venus reached greatest brilliancy on December 3rd and everyone is looking up at night. The biggest portion of her Sun-lit surface can be seen from Earth, and because she will soon reach inferior conjunction with the Sun (Jan 9th) she is also her closest to Earth, appearing larger and brighter as a waning crescent.
We have three months of Venus action coming up. Conjunction with Pluto on Saturday 11th December. Her retrograde, another conjunction with Pluto, her arising as the morning star, a narrow escape with Mars before she turns direct, his pursuit until they conjoin, and then hand in hand they will conjunct Pluto, all by March the 3rd. How exciting! I will cover all these things in a series of posts over the next few months.
11th December: Conjunction with Pluto
19th December: retrograde, less than a degree from Pluto
25th December: conjunct Pluto again
Beginning of January, she disappears under the beams of the Sun.
9th January 2022 inferior conjunction with the Sun (Cazimi) inferior conjunction where she is between us and the Sun (rather than the other side of the sun).
Mid-January 2022 she emerges from beams of the sun as Lucifer, morning star, just as winter is losing his grip she slips towards the quickening and spring.
